PICO NOVA

Five Wavelengths. One Precision Platform.

The PICO NOVA is a professional 5-in-1 picosecond laser system delivering ultra-short 350 ps pulses across five selectable wavelengths — 532 nm, 585 nm, 650 nm, 755 nm, and 1064 nm. Designed for clinics that demand versatility without compromise, it addresses the full spectrum of pigmented lesions, multi-colour tattoos, acne, and skin rejuvenation in a single device. The signature 360° rotating seven-joint articulated arm ensures effortless positioning and minimal energy loss, while FDA clearance (K250041) confirms its clinical pedigree.

Versatility

5 Treatment Modes

Picosecond

350 ps pulses deliver a rapid photoacoustic shockwave that shatters pigment granules without heating the surrounding dermis, enabling effective clearance with minimal downtime.

Tattoo removal, spots, birthmarks, skin rejuvenation

PTP

PTP (Photo-Thermal Pulse) mode heats the subcutaneous skin gently without full ablation, stimulating neocollagenesis and visibly reducing fine lines and enlarged pores.

Melasma, moles, dark eye circles, pores, hyperpigmentation

Multi Pulse

Delivers a burst of pulses in rapid succession to boost clearance of stubborn tattoo inks and recalcitrant pigmentation, while the short inter-pulse interval limits heat accumulation.

Recalcitrant tattoos, chloasma, stubborn pigmented lesions

Long Pulse

Extended pulse duration converts laser energy into selective thermal injury within target vessels and follicles, making it effective for vascular and hair-related indications.

Vascular lesions, rosacea, acne, onychomycosis, hair removal, skin firming

Long Pulse Pro

Enhanced Long Pulse with increased energy penetration to address deeper dermal structures, extending the treatable range of vascular and fibrotic lesions.

Deep vascular lesions, hypertrophic scars, acne, skin rejuvenation

Coverage

Multiple Wavelengths

Three wavelengths in one standard handpiece — 1064 nm, 532 nm, and 755 nm — covering virtually all pigment types. Two additional wavelengths available optionally.

1064 nm

Primary wavelength for black and dark blue tattoo ink, dark pigmented lesions including moles, and deeper dermal targets. Suitable across all skin types.

532 nm

Targets red, orange, and warm-toned inks, as well as superficial pigmentation, red acne scars, and broken capillaries.

755 nm

Effective for green tattoo inks, wrinkle reduction, and a broad range of pigmented conditions including nevus of Ota.

585 nm

Specifically absorbed by sky-blue and yellow inks — among the most difficult colours to clear — expanding the range of tattoos treatable in a single system.

650 nm

Targets light and dark green as well as certain yellow ink tones, complementing the 755 nm wavelength for comprehensive green-spectrum clearance.

Technology

Key Features

350 ps Ultra-Short Pulse Width

At 350 picoseconds, each pulse shatters pigment particles into microscopic fragments with a photoacoustic effect rather than relying on heat alone. Surrounding tissue is left largely unaffected, meaning faster healing, fewer side effects, and treatment suitable for a broader range of skin types.

Five Wavelengths in One System

532 nm, 585 nm, 650 nm, 755 nm, and 1064 nm cover virtually every tattoo ink colour and pigmented lesion type — from dense black ink to notoriously stubborn sky-blue and yellow tones. Clinics no longer need multiple devices to address the full chromatic range.

Five Treatment Modes

Picosecond, PTP, Multi Pulse, Long Pulse, and Long Pulse Pro provide the optimal pulse width and energy profile for each indication — from superficial pigmentation correction to deep vascular treatment — without switching platforms.

360° Rotating Seven-Joint Articulated Arm

The high-barrel Korean light-guide arm rotates freely in every plane, allowing the operator to reach any treatment area with precision and minimal fatigue. Energy loss through the arm is kept at ≤8%, ensuring the power set on the console is the power delivered to the skin.

FDA-Cleared Safety & Efficacy

FDA clearance K250041 validates PICO NOVA against rigorous US safety and clinical-efficacy standards, providing confidence for practitioners and reassurance for patients.

Intuitive Clinical Database

A built-in parameter database — compiled from tens of thousands of clinical cases — suggests starting settings for each indication and skin type, reducing the learning curve for new operators and improving consistency across your team.

Common Questions

FAQ

How many sessions are needed for tattoo removal?
The number of sessions depends on ink colours, tattoo size, placement, and the client's skin type and immune response. Most professional tattoos require between 6 and 12 sessions at 6–8 week intervals. Amateur tattoos typically respond faster. A detailed consultation and test patch will provide a more precise estimate.
Is PICO NOVA safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. The 1064 nm wavelength in particular carries a lower melanin-absorption profile, making it well-tolerated on Fitzpatrick skin types IV–VI. The 350 ps pulse width's predominantly photoacoustic mechanism also reduces thermal side-effect risk compared to nanosecond devices. An experienced operator and appropriate parameter selection are essential.
What is the recovery time after a typical picosecond treatment?
Most pigmentation and skin rejuvenation treatments involve only mild redness and slight swelling that resolve within 24–48 hours. Tattoo removal sessions may produce a frosting effect and pinpoint bleeding that settles within a few days. Clients can generally return to normal activities the same day.
